'Music is Noise, Poetry Dirt' - Jack Kerouac from 'Mexico City Blues'

Guitar and poetry have been my intimate research for thirty years now. Last winter I had to suspend this practice during a long residence in Paris, and perhaps from this very lack I realized the non-secondary importance of these two sources in my solitary research. Then I began to formulate the bizarre idea of finally bringing together these meditative and intimate practices, leaving some traces of them. So, on my return home, finding times and spaces for this parallel comfort of the spirit, I recorded these pieces in three nights. The music oscillates from the most traditional folk-blues that I have always loved listening and the most radical sonic experiments obtained by preparing the acoustic guitar or using a violin bow on it in unorthodox way. The titles of the pieces came out in a completely spontaneous way from the poems that I was reading right in those days, and from one of the poets who was able to better introject us into the boundless intimate world of everyday life.
